My Green Lantern

I had the idea to redesign key members of the JLA which ended up with me revamping the league itself down to a slight name change (Justice League Alliance).
I haven't gotten round to doing any others as of yet but here is my Green Lantern.

I think the inspiration for this is kind of obvious and doesn't need a lot of explaining but I will anyway. To me, thing Green Lantern ring is supposed to be the most powerful weapon in the universe and can create anything the wearer thinks of. This seems to include what they are wearing. So I started thinking, why imagine a costume but instead a battle suit powered by the ring in which all the Green Lantern capabilties could be used, ie. flight, energy projection, survival in space, shield, whatever?
Looking at it now it does kind of remind me of the Iron Lantern comic that came about a few years back (really showing my age there) but I still like it. The suit is basically an armoured version of Hal's original costume (mask included) but mixed with elements of Kyle's original costume as well. My idea was that ALL the Green Lantern Corps would have the same armour unlike the actual Corps who'se costumes all seem to differ. the only exceptions would be people like Kilowog who would have a more Hulkbuster-ish look to his armour.
