Artist's Comments

Since I had so many guys in the first part of my X-Men group picture I decided to make this part all females. Did anybody notice a lot of the females can fly and only two guys (who I didn't draw can)? I messed around with postitions to see what would suit best and I think this worked well on it's own and with the other part. Just need to finish the final part with another female and I'll have the final piece ready for you all :) (Smile)

Opinions welcome as always.

I think this looks really good; the inkwork is fantastic and their poses look great. Their figures, however, could probably use a little tweaking - they have very masculine bodies. Their legs look a little too big for bodies, and I'd suggest letting their breasts " sag" (for lack of a better word) a little more and give them a more rounded shape.

Yeah, I'm still learning when it comes to drawing women, I've got a new one planned so look out for that whenever I get it done :)

It's all good; the first thing I ever drew was The Little Mermaid, so I've been working on women almost all my artistic life. This also means that I really suck at drawing men. :P

I've tried a couple of times. I dunno... I think I prefer drawing women anyway. They get all the pretty dresses, make-up, and hair. :giggle:

I think that most of the women can fly because they are viewed as elegant, feministic movements.
Notice that the original Rogue could not fly, and that is because she was evil and fairly masculine. Also take note, that Mystique cannot fly, and she is also a villain.
It made sense to me.
It also seems that the powers of the women tend to be more mind based (Excluding Warbird and Rogue,) and involve controling things with their minds etc, rather than brute force like Wolverine and Colossus for example.
