Beast First Attempt

So this is what I seem to have been working on for like ever.
This particular drawing was done ages ago but I never got round to submitting it on here. The updates will be soon to follow and if I get them scanned and your a good boy/girl I may submit a character a day
Oh and sometimes I done other attempts at the character either because I got better at drawing or the costume changed and I wanted to keep up to date.

For Beast I just felt that the most important thing was having him look like a lion. Well actually I was starting to aim more towards the end of making him look like a hairier version of the werewolves from Underworld. If you watch the special features for the film they stated they made the werewolves look more like cats as cats are more elegant looking which was ideal for Beast. I also felt it was important for Beast's hair to look like a main but when not in battle to look slick and sophiticated.
