Green Lantern Redesign

Ok so a lot of you (maybe) will remember I've done this already. Which is cool. I have done it before. After all the Iron Man references (which were there for good reason) and the fact I wanted to redraw Batman, I re-done my design on the Lantern. I guess it's all the buzz with the film that got me excited.

To me, thing Green Lantern ring is supposed to be the most powerful weapon in the universe and can create anything the wearer thinks of. This seems to include what they are wearing. So I started thinking, why imagine a costume but instead a battle suit powered by the ring in which all the Green Lantern capabilties could be used, ie. flight, energy projection, survival in space, shield, whatever?
Looking at it now it does kind of remind me of the Iron Lantern comic that came about a few years back (really showing my age there) but I still like it. The suit is basically an armoured version of Hal's original costume (mask included) but mixed with elements of Kyle's original costume as well. My idea was that ALL the Green Lantern Corps would have the same armour unlike the actual Corps who'se costumes all seem to differ. the only exceptions would be people like Kilowog who would have a more Hulkbuster-ish look to his armour.

I've always had this idea of, and this is difficult to explain...you know in the original credit to Ben10 and the watch thing flashed and started building up the rock skin up his arm to cover him thus turning him into Four-Arms? Well I imagind the ring doing that but a wireframe spreading over his body then creating the armoured shape. I suppose the same idea could be used for a costume. I just think the armour makes more sense. And hopefully, what it being more streamlined this time, looks more like a Power Ranger than Iron Man like my original intentions.
