This is usually about the time I try to make some kind of witty comment to explain or justify why I've not updated my profile in so long. I can't sorry. It has literally been nothing more than a mix of laziness and being too busy. Yeah, that's probably a tad contradictory but that's it. There's been a few folk who have me on Deviant Watch who have been asking me what I'be been doing so I figured it was time I gave you good people an update.
I'm currently providing my pencils and inks on a series that myself and an immensley talented writer and friend, Stephen Sutherland, are doing called Neverending. At this stage we're putting together the pitch which we'll be sending off just as soon as the colours and letters are done. Stephen has been getting some great feedback from the Glasgow League of Writers (that's GLoW for those not in the know, Google it) and we both got some great feedback from John Lees, writer and creator of The Standard (and seriously, if you're not reading that you should, it just went worldwide). For a look of the review, here's the link:

There's some concept art on there from the series by myself which I'll probably post here soon.
Since last I posted, I also proposed to my now fiancée so we're saving up so we can get married towards the end of year. So with that in mind, I'm still very much open to commissions, a full-time wage only goes so far So yeah, if you're interested in any kind of commission just send me a message and I'll get back to you with cost and what have you.
Thanks for watching,
G

Edinburgh Comic Con April 2nd and 3rd
Hey guys and gals, I'll be attending Edinburgh Comic Con for the first time ever (either as guest or artist) and I'm really looking forward to it. Presumably this will be the first time people there will be seeing my stuff so I've updated my Facebook page with some musings about this coming weekend and where to find me in the Artist Alley if anyone's looking for some awesome prints and/or comics.

Beginning a New Chapter
Where has the time went?
Well firstly, Happy New Year to you all. I've never been a huge blogger but I'm at least going to try a monthly update for anyone who may be reading.
I started late last year with a goal of branching out, getting myself to more Cons, getting more of my work seen, and, if possible, make a bit of a bit of money out of all this. On that end, I think it was a success. I have my website, my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GKillustration), and I met some great people at the few Cons I was able to attend.
So this year? I want to do more. I want to go to more Cons, do more commissions, work on more comics. Oh yes, yo
The Big Glasgow Comic and Craft Fair
So today's the day for the Big Glasgow Comic & Craft Fair in The Trades in Merchant City. Something I didn't fully take into consideration for MCM last week was people looking for issue two of NeverEnding (of which I'm the artist of) but didn't see "NeverEnding" on the MCM website. Fortunately a couple of fans managed to spot it on my table GK illustration ( http://garykelly84.wix.xom/gkillustration or find me on Facebook searching GK illustration)
If anyone else was looking for issue two, or heck if you're new and want to read a Glasgow-based spy/thriller with a strong female lead I have issue one, I'll be in The Trades from 10:00-17:00
